BY THE NUMBERS: Girls
- Jena ran even splits, that’s the
fastest way to run, 37 secs off her season’s
best. Hannah ran her 1st race
ever and found out how hard it is. Nice
going girl. Cynthia is running way under
her 2006 times, but, needs to enjoy the thrill of competition. Trinity and Sam fought with the 2nd
mile but finished hard. Keep the Faith
ladies!
Guys
– Dustin, same advice as Cynthia. Enjoy
the event, don’t put too much pressure on the
outcome. Race smart and all will take
care of itself. Jesus, Randy,
Jordan, Collin and Kyler
ran great. I love to see Indian uniforms
doing the passing. At one time the
“pack” was about 4th to last, that’s 80th place
(combining the 2 divisions) and Randy moved up about 30 places by the
finish. It helps motivate you to be
passing people. The pack moved well
together, but can get better. However,
the PACK needs to finish in the 20’s as far as placing. It will come!
The JV ran a 4K race due to the leader taking a wrong turn. I think Charlie, Arthur and Matthew all ran
their best races of the year as their average per mile pace was way faster than
they had run before. Great running guys!
JR
High – 6 personal records (PR) on the day.
That’s 100%, a GREAT day. Paige
was 3 secs behind the 1st 7th
grade girl (Liberal). Anthony
experienced CC for the 1st time and ran well. Nicole ran with intent and purpose, cutting
26 secs off, WOW!!
Lindsay broke 7 mins EASILY! Justin and Teneille rounded out the efforts
with their best efforts on the year.
COACHES COMMENTS: I
thought the Indians ran very well for having a HARD workout on Thursday. It’ll be fun to run Syracuse
with fresh legs. The Braves will makeup
Ulysses on Monday with the 8th graders trying the 2 miles
distance. Should be
fun. The workouts will start
getting shorter and faster. It’s time to
train for that last ½ mile of your race.
The men beat Johnson by 7. GREAT
Keep
the Faith,
Coach
