BY THE NUMBERS:              Girls -  I thought Trinity probably ran her best race of the year.  Good Job!  Hannah struggled through the middle but recovered nicely.  Jena and Samantha ran nice opening miles that may have challenged their pace on the 2nd mile.

Guys -  Our freshmen led the way as Jesus and Collin both came within 12-13 seconds of their PR’s on a much harder course.  Great job!!!  Jordan was next closest at 18 secs off while he was challenged by the 2nd mile.  Everyone else was 27 or more seconds off their season’s best.  Our gap was the closest of the year, however, Dustin came back to the PACK instead of the PACK moving closer to Dustin.  Dustin will race well on Saturday but in order to keep that 2:17 GAP our 5th runner will need to run 20-30 seconds “closer” to Dustin.  That’s the challenge!  #4 and #5 runner must push closer to Dustin.  #3 must move up about 30 seconds.  #2 must continue to run hard.  #1 must challenge for a top 3 finish.

Jr High – What can I say?  First season with Jr High CC and first ever LEAGUE CHAMP!  Thanks Page, one for the History Book.  Nicole may have actually run her best race of the season while being just 1 second off her PR.  Congrats on your 4th place medal!

COACHES COMMENTS:     By know all know that I was mystified by the varsity boy’s performance.  I failed to have them prepared for competition!  Our approach to Regional racing will be a stark contrast to our League preparation.  As the season concludes ALL runners should be running their fastest and most aggressive races.  I’ll “re-work” the workouts, you runners ensure for appropriate sleep and eating patterns, and then let’s just go RUN.  I believe everyone will perform at 100% Saturday.
