BY THE NUMBERS:              Girls -  Cynthia and Sam cut some MAJOR time over last year’s Leoti time.  Nice Job!  Winner Dixon ran 11 seconds faster than Sat. at Tribune.  Cynthia was 24 seconds slower, due to mile 2.  Stacy ran 17 s. faster than Tribune, nice work on a warmer day.  Trinity tired on mile 2.

Guys – Dustin was our lone improver over last year.  Nice running.  Winner Schneider ran 8 seconds slower than Tribune time.  Dustin was 4 secs slower, better run than the winner.  Jesus showed a ton of potential in his 1st 5K race.  Keep up the work.  Randy ran 20 seconds FASTER than Tribune, huge improvement, thanks to mile 1 being faster.  Jordan 5 s. slower, still very good.  Collin 17 s FASTER, Great job.  Matthew and Collin helped each other the last 1.5 miles, nice teamwork.  Kyler was 9 seconds FASTER than Tribune, GREAT.  Charlie cut the most time (1:57) when compared to Tribune, AWESOME.  Antonio was “off his game”, he’ll bounce back.  Arthur and Matthew Mastel both slowed about 1 min. but ran their 3rd mile faster than mile 2.  Great comeback.

JR High – Paige ran a huge race cutting 20 seconds off.  Lindsay also cut 7 seconds, nice run.  Both Justin and Tina slowed a little but both had nice finishing kicks.  Good job!!

COACHES COMMENTS:     Nice efforts on a warmer day.  I don’t know if our warm-up was “right on”.  A steady 8-10 minute jog, with form drills and accelerations are appropriate in any weather.  Pacing is essential and the more we race the better we’ll get.  Keep training hard, the FUN has begun.  Challenge yourself: eat, sleep, study and practice hard. We’ll have a week to train before Ulysses.  Breakfast run on Saturday?

                                                                                    Keep the Faith,
