Welcome! I’m excited to share that I’ve been serving Kansas in education for 26 years. I was a classroom teacher for 15 years and a principal for 11 years. I moved to Leoti in May of 2018 from Iola, KS, which is six hours southeast of Leoti. I have been the Wichita County Elementary principal for almost two years, and love spending time with students and working with teachers and staff. I will be serving as the superintendent of USD 467 beginning July 1, 2020, and look forward to leading the district and community. Family is an important part of my life. I have five adult children and nine grandchildren, and I enjoy traveling to spend time with them when I am not working. I am very thankful for such great children, and appreciate each one for their unique abilities and personalities. Having a large family fills much of my time, but when it is quiet, I enjoy walking, traveling, and riding my bicycle.
